This worked for me, because even though we meet many characters in the book, it doesn’t look like many major plot-points from the first book are revealed. I got this for my 6 yo who reads at a 4th grade level, she loved it. Muenchausen, Richard P. I liked it so much I bought another book by these women. Her illness and suffering will leave you hurting. Provides a comprehensive overview of the Civil War from a variety of perspectives, describing the causes of the war, the battles and campaigns, the military leaders and politicians involved, the ideas and values that it exemplifies, and its long-term consequences. Victor captures Sophia even though she escapes him but does come back and with Victor’s help they go to look for the paintings together. The background of the art was very interesting and lead to a fun, yet information reading of this story.
