I also felt the missing brother narrative acutely, especially since there were so many instances in the book in which the existence of a brother is mentioned. For starters, it is in the midst of a busy parish rectory, with the phone ringing off the hook, the priest calling out for this or that, people needing mass cards, comfort, solace - or perhaps just a gas card to get to their low wage part time job. This book is about a time-traveler named Niall, who moves to town next door to a woman who opens a woman's shelter.
