Besides the writer's writing style which I would characterize as unfocused, cluttered, and unpolished, I didn't find it to be at all "irrefutable". We all take our freedoms for granted, not realizing the sacrifices others have endured for us. It's not bad, just not as enjoyable as the others. I loved that the father seemed like this great, almost heroic figure with flaws, and through careful use of flashbacks, I could really feel the bond between Simon and his dad and why the loss was so crippling. Today, I am reading "Jesus" for the third time. I love how Lucian's character evolves over the three books. Over all I did like the read and still love Janet Chapman and can't wait for her other books. I THINK THEIR IS A LOT OF HUMANS HAD EXPERIENCED TRIPS;THEY JUST DID'T WRITE A BOOK OR NOT GOING TO TELL ANYONE, BECAUSE PEOPLE CLOSE TO THEM WILL THINK THEY'RE NUTS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
